the space where something was

Oil on panel, 20cm wide x 20cm tall.

A study of a cup of tea. The cup is plain white tea-cup with the handle to the left of the image. It contains medium strength white tea, filled a little short of the brim. The cup rests on a matching saucer. The saucer casts no shadow on the surface. They are set slightly to the right of the image.
