Two-bar fire

Oil on panel, 15cm wide x 22cm tall.

This picture is of a two-bar electric fire. The fire sits on the floor, facing into the room. It is pluged into a wall socket but is not switched on. We see the front and right sides of the fire. The mains cable is short and has a u-shaped bend in it before the wall.

The carpet is a mid grey, the skirting plain white and the wall plainly painted is a light cinnamon. The skirting divides the picture a little below half way down, at an angle which would be, for the minute hand of a clock, a little before twenty past.
