Pie and potential full glass

Oil on canvas panel, 15cm wide x 22cm tall.

This is a picture of a piece of lemon merangue pie, on a plate, and an empty glass. There appear to be on a plain white table cloth. They are lit from the right, giving a pleasing shadow/light pattern through the glass to the eight o-clock postion.

The glass is nearer to the viewer and to the right of the image. It's an American soda style glass with fluted sides. It is empty.

The pie is on a small plain white plate. It is to the left of the glass and a little behind it, very slightly obscured. The lemon filling is a rich yellow, topped by white merangue. The top of the pie is peaked and quite well done.
